Increasing your Alexa page rank – its easy and effective.

by kmckee2 on Nov.23, 2009, under Internet Marketing Articles

Alexa is one of the top ranking sites on the internet. Unlike Google who uses backlinks and their own algorithm to determine page rank, Alexa uses traffic alone to determine the ranking of a site. The hardest part of getting an Alexa rank is to have Alexa discover you are there in the first place. Once Alexa has you in their sites they go to work ranking you. The best part is that Alexa ranks sites daily, unlike google who is sporadic and at best 3 or 4 times a month. Of course every site wants to have more traffic, so how do you increase your visibility to get ranked high with Alexa? The process is pretty simple.

First:
Download the Alexa tool bar and install it on every computer you have access to.

Second:
Once that is done set your website that you want ranked, or multiple site as the home page using Alexa’s toolbar

Third:
Go to Alexa’s Website and set up an administrator account

Fourth:
Login and build a site widget and place the code on your main landing page (usually the home page or index)

Fifth:
Sit back and watch your traffic rank increase.

NOTE:Some of you may be thinking this is just a trick and that Alexa’s rank must not mean much if its that easy. However, keep in mind the 5 steps above simply allow Alexa to know you are there even if you have a low page rank. Then every time someone goes to your site the rank number will decrease.  Our site went from 10,000,000 in ranking to 458,081 in four weeks. Our traffic as a result as quadrupled.
